WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR USING HALO?You need Internet access and a Halo-supported playback device. Halo is an online service, so you need an Internet connection for signing in and managing your monitors too.
-
DO I NEED ANY SPECIAL SKILLS TO USE HALO OR INSTALL THE HALO PLAYER?NO. Halo was designed from scratch so that anyone can use it. Forget the tech-stuff. Our service is really easy to use, and you can get our Halo Players that are really just plug-and-play. Honestly.
-
HOW MANY MONITORS DOES THE HALO SUPPORT PER ACCOUNT?Halo uses scalable technologies that can support tens of thousands of monitors under a single Halo account. We provide mass management of multiple monitors, along with tag-based searches, making Halo an easy solution for handling thousands of units.
-

Any Halo Player you order will be preconfigured with your account details so that you can simply plug it in and start “Haloing” If you need any advanced configuration, you can provide it through the ordering process. WHAT DOES HALO ALLOW ME TO SHOW ON MY MONITORS?Halo can display a composition of videos, images, documents, online web pages and widgets. You can upload whatever media files you want to Halo and use them. We also support YouTube videos, Live Streaming Videos (YouTube, Ustream, and custom streams) and PowerPoint files (converted to videos, keeping all animations). All Document types are supported and shown as slides, including PDF, PowerPoint, Word and Excel files. Our Widget collection, including Scrolling Text (ticker), Rich Text, RSS Feed, is now available to use and we are working on adding more.

WHY NOT USE THE USB MEDIA PLAYER FEATURE ON MY TV OR SMART TV?It’s really no comparison. Most TVs with a USB port allow you to load some media files on a USB drive and select to play them back sequentially. That’s it. Halo automates the process of playback. It can turn the TV on and off, change the channel to the proper HDMI input and make sure everything goes smooth without glitches even after a power failure. And, of course, you can continuously update the content over the Internet without using USB sticks. Also, Halo provides a scheduling feature. You can setup your monitors to show different things on different hours, or even power off your monitor to save power. And all of that without discussing about Halo being able to composite screens with multiple content, using YouTube videos, PPTs, live streaming videos, etc.
